Roberto Mighty, MFA, is the first Artist-in-Residence at a National Historic Landmark US Cemetery, and the first at Mount Auburn Cemetery, America’s first garden cemetery. Roberto is a multimedia artist, filmmaker, photographer, sound designer and musician who uses interactive and online technology in his work.
‘earth dot sky’ is his transmedia meditation on life, death, ritual, history, landscape, nature and culture - as observed at Mount Auburn over close to three years. This body of work includes nature cinematography, historical research, stories from diverse families, and extraordinary emotional journeys.
This online exhibit includes Roberto's 29 earth dot sky film shorts; photo gallery; artist statements and additional information. Now on tour, the earth dot sky multi-projector, surround-sound, immersive video installation evokes American history and modern times.
